Is MyCastingFile free?
Yes. A free profile lets you add two photos, see Open Calls, reply to roles, mark your Calendar, and get booked. You never pay to apply for a role. If you want to show casting more, MyCastingFile Pro is an optional upgrade for $48 a year. It adds up to 10 photos for different looks, a video, a Pro badge, your own Pro Page to share with casting, and an email when new roles are posted.
Do I need Pro to get booked?
No. Many members get booked with a free profile, and Pro does not guarantee a booking. Pro helps you show more of your looks and hear about new roles sooner. See what Pro includes
Do I need acting experience?
No. Most background roles need everyday people with different looks. Each open call tells you what casting needs, so read the details before you reply.
How much do extras get paid?
Each open call shows the pay rate before you reply. The production company pays you directly, not MyCastingFile.
Are there roles near me?
Roles are in the cities where productions film. Add the cities where you can work to your profile, and Open Calls shows the roles near you.
How do I get booked?
Complete your profile and reply to open calls that fit you. If casting wants you, you get a booking request in Replies. A reply does not guarantee a booking.
Can my child be an extra?
Yes. A parent or guardian can add a profile for each child and manage it from the parent’s own account.
Can I use MyCastingFile on my phone?
Yes. It works in the web browser on your phone and your computer. There is nothing to download.
